My name is Louis, my wife, Lisa and I had finally gotten to the point a year or so ago where everything in our life was running just as we wanted. Both of us working good jobs, 3 kids in school, driving, we owned our first brand new home, in a wonderful new area, things were going well. About 2 years ago the housing market hit a boom, my home went from $145,000 to $310,000 within 9 months time, we refinanced and took out a little money  and paid some bills, got my son into a good University and my payment was comfortable, life was good.

            Then 8 months ago I was notified my mortgage/escrow payment (due to prop. Taxes hurricane ins. Increase) skyrocketed an additional $500.00 a month, my wife lost her job, and my daughter totaled a brand new car with no GAP ins. My other daughter had surgery and my son’s education goes up $400.00 per semester. And then the housing bubble popped, before I knew what hit me I was in deep trouble, my situation was dire, I was depressed, frustrated, desperate, I was going to let this bank take my house and wallow in my ruin.

            2 months later, no help no answer in sight, I came home from work,  sorted threw my mail and found what appeared to be a hand written note, from Mrs. Keegan, like a prayer answered she was interested no just in buying my house but to avoid foreclosure. This had been probably the most sincere and understanding form of help I had received so in desperation I called.

            As soon as I spoke to Mr. and Mrs. Keegan and explained my problem in detail. They in turn proceeded to tell me how they could help. Their demeanor was clam, warm, re-assuring, they told me step by step what they needed us to do, what they were going to do for us, the time scale and everything we needed to avoid foreclosure. So I put myself in their capable hands. I remember clearly when Bob looked me in the eye and said “Tony I want you to quit worrying about your house, we’ll take care of that you take care of your family”. I took those words to heart, and today I can say my trust was well replaced. Within 5 months the Keegans had sold my home (found an investor) dealt with my mortgage co. directly, took care of the paper chase , and then went one step further, they relieved me of the negative debt remaining after sale, guided us there the steps we’ll have to take so we can own a home again in a year. Oh, did I mention there was never any cost out of my pocket, $0.00, not a cent. I was able to get my stuff together for my family and my future and hope was restored.

            I owe the Keegans, my sanity and the possibilities that lie ahead. They worked tirelessly, kept their promise and went the extra mile for a perfect stranger. Why they did it, I never asked, they never pushed the issue. Am I glad they are there? Absolutely. Am I satisfied? Beyond belief. Can they do everything they say they can do? Without a doubt. Am I glad the day brightened my door? Yes a thousand times yes!!! Will I call them when it’s time to buy another home a year from now on? I would not dream of using anyone else.
